The world's largest Anaconda is found in the Amazon

Sounds like one episode of the Indiana Jones adventure movie. After 23 years of research on 3000 years old ancient culture on three continents using the help of satellite imagery, a father and son traveled enormously deep into the jungle of the Amazon jungle to confirm their theory that Anaconda Giant is much larger than it ever was known to live in amazon jungle

Mike Warner (73) and his son Greg (44) discovered a snake called 40 meters long with a body diameter of 2 meters. This snake has dwarfed all the giant snake ever known so far.

This anaconda body color is not green but dark brown and is known by locals as "Boa Hitam" or "Yacumama". "Yacumama is translated as" Mother of the Waters ", its wilderness jungle, and the presence of this snake has been confirmed by the history and culture of the Amazon community.

Mike, the blind next door has spent 23 years researching this creature, but only 6 months ago he got an extra boost when his son found his research documents and decided to join this extraordinary research. Mike, who has saved his life for this expedition, went to Amazon with Greg in a small team.

The locals interviewed said that when the snake swam, the river water would shake violently and the snake could pounce on a monkey that was in the tree at lightning speed. They then took over 700 photos and 5 hours of video footage. After that they travel back home to examine the photos.

"The data we collect is incredible, we find many paths created when the snake moves.We see trees as tall as 90 feet fall by this snake, and most importantly, we managed to take a photo of one of these creatures when he Is moving in the water. " Greg said.

Their team spent 12 days in the wilderness in March 2009 and announced their discovery on May 2, 2009.

Reports on the existence of a giant anaconda snake can be traced back to 1906 when the colonel Percy Fawcett who was sent by the Royal Geographical Society to create a map of the Amazon jungle found a footprint of anchors as wide as 6 feet, or about 1.8 meters. And according to Greg, Fawcett's colonel record has helped him find the giant snake.

Greg said, "The real hero is my father, he spent 23 years researching the existence of this snake and is determined to succeed when others are desperate."

Now they have shared their findings with the Peruvian Government, the National Geographic Society in Washington and Queens University in Belfast. And they plan to return to the forest again to find another giant sonacon
